Rough Draft of Participating Armies:
Major Powers:
Antigonids:
  • Antigonid General 1 (Antigonus himself)
  • Antigonid General 2
  • Demetrios
Ptolemids:
  • Ptolemaic General 1 (Ptolemey)
  • Ptolemaic General 2
Seleucids:
  • Seleucid General 1 (Seleucus)
  • Seleucid General 2
All the generals of the Major powers start coequal and of the same color (i.e., cannot attack each other) but if conquered they are no longer the same color from then on (except of they conquer each other, of course).

Significant Powers:
  • Lysimachos
  • Kassandros
  • Nabataea
  • LPIA Nomads
  • Armenians
  • Bithynians
  • Bosphoran Kingdom
  • Skythians
  • Aiotolian League
  • Hellenic League
  • Sparta
  • Kingdom of Epeiros
Not all the above will be represented, but most of them will (this is a draft. This is only a draft). Each of the above will be a single player and his army as normal.

Barbarian Fringe:
  • One player playing some subset of the following armies (only one per turn, with some special rules limiting them to local impact only)
    • Thracians
    • Illyrians
    • Meroitic Ku****es
    • Skythians (if not taken as a main player)
    • Libyans
    • Kyrenean Greeks
    • Mauryan Indian Empire

Default Indians and Bactrian Greeks?

Will there be an Indian empire in the east, and are the Bactrian Greeks still under the firm control of the Seleucids?

The Bactrian Greeks, like the Parthians, are still half a century away. There still hasn't been much Greek colonization in Bactria.

The Mauryan Indians, if they partake at all, will be part of the "Fringe" player armies, only allowed to travel one zone or so at maximum, and only taking part erratically. As described in the base message. Nobody will get to play an Indian army continuously in the campaign -- no Indian army ever campaigned beyond the deserts of the central Iranian plateau, or even much past the edge of the Sulaiman range that overshadows the Sindh and the Indus River.

I weep to admit that I deserve no credit. I will eventually create a map, and hope to deserve accolades on it, but this one is from Wikipedia.

This looks nifty! And, for once, a Two Davids campaign I already have multiple armies painted for!

Great idea, and off to an excellent start. This could well be an all day event. or afternoon and evening. Certainly not just a standard 4 hour slot.
