Jan. 1-April. 29 Brigade in Winter camp near Port Royal, Virginia.
Feb. 12 Regimental officers petition for appointment of Col. C. A. Evans as Brigidier General commanding.
April 29 Skirmish at Fitzhugh's Crossing
April 30-May 5 Battle of Chancellorsville/2d Fredericksburg
May 6-June 3 Brigade in camp at Hamilton's Crossing (near Fredericksburg)
June 4 Brigade breaks camp.
June 5 March 16 miles (past Spotsyvania Court House) toward Gordonsville.
June 6 Encamped (awaiting outcome of Union demonstrations at Fredericksburg)
June 7 March toward Culpeper Court House, crossing Rapidan River at Raccoon Ford.
June 8 Short march through Culpeper Court House to camp two miles beyond.
June 9 Battle of Brandy Station (Brigade quick-time march at 3:00 p.m. as reinforcements to Gen. Jeb Stuart, but arrived after Union forces had retired). Camped on the field.
June 10 Returned to camp near Culpeper Court House via Front Royal Road.
June 11 Marched through Sperryville to camp three miles beyond Little Washington.
June 12 March to Front Royal (arriving approx. 8:00 p.m.)
June 13-15 2d Battle of Wincester
June 28-29 Skirmishes at York & Wrightsville, PA
July 1-3 Battle of Gettysburg
Oct. 19 An appeal for clothing, shoes and blankets for the 26th Georgia is penned. It appears in the Savannah Republican on Nov. 3.
Nov. 26-Dec. 2 Mine Run Campaign (Skirmishes Along the Rapidan)
Dec. 3 An appeal for shoes, socks and underclothing for the Brunswick Rifles (26th Georgia) penned by Mary Blain, mother of Lt. Col. J.S. Blain. It appears in Savannah Republicn on Dec. 8.
