June 4, 1863

Brigade breaks camp at Hamilton's Crossing and prepares for movement north, marking the beginning of the Gettysburg Campaign. Col Evans' diary records: "6 o'clock p.m. Tents are all down & packed. Baggage in the wagons, arms stacked & all ready to move."
