Brent Sustaita on Museum MiniaturesI own some good looking Polybian Romans (highly recommend the Hastati Princepes), Greek Hoplites, Late Romans, and Mameluke Egyptians. I have also seen some handsomely painted Normans from this line. The figures are rather tall, especially the HC I got from the mamelukes, and the horses tend to have an elongated, lizard-like look to them; but they can paint up quite nicely. The only beef I have historically was with the Late Romans having a convex shield when I should be more flat, and the length of the pants for the auxilia troop type (but that is splitting some fine hairs there). I really like the Early Roman closed foot figures from here as well as some of the mamelukes. Adequately sculpted. Some people really seem to like the figs more than me, but I would recommend them. I am not sure about pack size since I usually ordered a DBA army from them. Paul Harrison on Museum MiniaturesThese are OK; the more recent sculptings are outstanding. The Byzantine infantry are the best 15mm figures I have ever seen, proportions are excellent. They are large and sturdy. I would recommend all the infantry I have seen, but be leary of some of the mounted. Excellent mail order service from the UK! David Kuijt on Museum Miniatureslike some of their figures, but I have some reservations too. Their horses tend to resemble Dachshunds -- short legs, extended bodies; a bit odd looking. When in barding or armour this is less noticable, so their Teutonic Knights are quite nice. Their infantry are a little lantern-jawed; thus poses in helmets are usually nicer than those without. On the positive side, their US distributor sells them in singles, which I always like (Old Glory 50-bags are hilariously out of place when you need a pair of psiloi). Their Tuareg camels are gorgeous; beautiful active running poses that (tragically) make it impossible to fit them on a 30mm deep Cm stand. The few Arab Conquest infantry I've seen are quite nice, but there isn't a lot of pose variety (each code for Museum represents one pose only; actually it is even worse than that, because several Museum codes may represent the same figure with only one pose). Lorenzo Sartori on Museum Minisuseum Miniatures produces some excellent figures, some not....Latest products from Museum are better than older ranges. I have a DBA Arab conquest army and it looks very nice and variety of poses is not so bad. New Kingdom Egyptian or Mycenaean are very beautiful, thou Asiatic ranges are the best. Also interesting accessories like wagons, artillery, etc. Top of Page | Miniature Sources | DBA Resource Page | Last Updated: May 29, 2001 Comments, suggested additions, and/or critiques welcome.
