DBA Scratch-Built Terrain

Waterway

Scratch-built by Don Ray.  Photo by Paul Hannah.  At top is an overview of the North-western American Longhouse BUA on a steep hill, overlooking the Waterway.  This is characteristic of terrain surrounding Indian coastal villages. (Surveying the situation is Paul's cat, "Max".)  Don spent his 2006 summer holiday touring several Tsimshian and Gitxsan villages along Canada's rugged Pacific Coast. Don designed his Waterway and BUA from historical pictures and his own sketches of sites he saw.

A scratch-built and barnacled whale frolics about at the other end of the Waterway.
