and Early Imperial Roman armies. It is inspired by my favourite Latin joke -
OK, it's the only Latin joke I know!
A Centurion walks into a bar and shouts, "Martinus, Barman".
The barman replies, "Don't you mean 'Martini', Sir?"
To which the Centurion replies, "If I had wanted a double, I would have
asked for one."
The Centurion is from Chariot Miniatures, the 'barman' from Navigator
Miniatures' All Purpose Troops range, and the barmaid and Celtic 'drink
casualty' are by Museum Miniatures. I think Museum were also the source of
the table and benches. The bar counter is simply a piece of balsa wood cut
to shape & glued onto the MDF base before being painted. As ever, I dipped
all figures & woodwork with a mahogany-coloured stain to create the shading.
