Scratch-built by Chris Brantley. Not the best quality picture, but it shows what can be done with a few toothpicks and some white glue. The base is a thick piece of cardboard (covered in Liquidtex Modelling Paste) into which I drove toothpick corner posts. Because the cardboard base would never hold up to inserting each individual toothpick, I then built
each wall sections separately, held together by the crossbeams, and glued those to the corner posts. Balsa wood provided the longer beams for the guard tower supports, the door, and the rickety stairs. To give you an idea of scale, the guard tower is just large enough for one 15mm figure to stand guard, and the stockade floor
is large enough to hold an artillery element.. I sometimes regret modeling the stockade with the door half open, as this only seems to encourage attempts to capture my camp.
