DBA at Advance the Colors

A number of DBA tournaments, a HOTT tourney, and even Field of Glory event are planned this year at HMGS-GL's flagship convention Advance the Colors in Springfield, Ohio. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will all have at least one tournament each.  The schedule will likely be the same as last year, which was:

  • Friday Evening: 15mm Double Size DBA Tournament.
  • Saturday Morning: 15mm ATC Open.
  • Saturday Evening: "Rolling Thunder" style 15mm HOTT Tournament.
  • Sunday Morning: The Emperor of Great Lakes campaign tournament.

De Bellis Vasingtonium

The 4th annual "Wars of Washington, DC" DBA 15mm Open tournament is tentatively set for Saturday, 20 Sept. 2008 in conjunction with the Congress of Gamers gaming convention, which will be held o 20-21 Sept. at the Bauer Drive Community Center in Rockville, MD.

PAWS Fall DBA Event

The Portsmouth and Allied Wargamers will be holding their Summer DBA event (Theme to be determined) on 27 Sept. at the Southsea Community Centre in Portsmouth, UK.  Check here for more information.

DBA Tourney in Malden, MA

The Boston Trained Bands will host a three round DBA Tournament:

Date: Saturday October 4, 2008
Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Location: Hobby Bunker
Eligible armies: 15mm DBA Part II Classical and Part IV High Medieval armies

From Route 1
Take Route 60 West (Revere Cinemas Exit. Go about 2 miles until you reach Malden Square. Prceed through Main St. and take your second right onto Jackson St. Then take a right onto Exchange St. We are 2 blocks down on the left.

From the "T"
Take the Orange Line to Malden Station. Exchange Street is perpendicular to the station. While exiting the station walk straight towards Exchange Street. We are 3 blocks down on the left.

From Route 93
Take Exit 32, follow Route 60 East for about 2 miles. You will pass under an overpass (Malden Station). Then take your first left (Commercial St.) and then a right.
Both are immediate. You will then be on Exchange Street. We are located
3 blocks down on the left.

DBA at Mother of All Battles (MOAB)

A 15mm open DBA tournament organized by Stephen Webb will be held at SBG's flagship convention, Mother of All Battles, (4-6 Oct.) in Sylvania (Sydney) Australia. The tournament will consist of six qualifying rounds on Saturday and four championship rounds on Sunday,

DBA at VikingCon

There are tentative plans for a DBA Intro session and 15mm open DBA tournament at VikingCon, set for in Tarnby, Denmark.  More details and questions here.

11-12 Oct. 2008

DBA at Fields of Honor

There will be DBA events at Fields of Honor Convention in Des Moines, Iowa on 11-12 Oct. 2008.  Open DBA gaming on Friday night (11 Oct.). On Saturday afternoon (12 Oct.), the 2008 Iowa Cup DBA Tournament. Trophies awarded to the top three contestants. There will also be a prize for Best Painted Army. See the event schedule for details

7-9 Nov. 2008

DBA at Fall In

A full schedule of DBA events is planned for the HMGS-East Fall In Convention, to be held in Gettysburg, PA.
