WADBAG Battle Report:
The Baltic Crusades
A Scenarios DBA Event

at Historicon 2007

[Highlights] [ Results]

WADBAG's David Schlanger and David Kuijt ran their Baltic Crusades DBA Scenarios event as part of the DBA schedule of events at Historicon 2007 (July 26-29, 2007) at Lancaster, PA.

16 total players were divided evenly into four groups - two Crusader groups and two Pagan groups. Each player competed against the others in his group and played through each of four historical scenarios against four different players from an opposing group.

Final Results

Pagans Score   Crusaders Score
Hank Drapalski 91 Martin Schmidt 73
Mark Pozniak 71 Jason Bostwick 67
David Bostwick 58 Bill Fisher 66
Dave Reynolds 49 Alex Bostwick 49
Tony Aguilar 47 Eric Freiwald 33
Doug Austin 37 Mike Porter 31
Alex Halkiadakis 32 Brendan Sanders 25
Ron Giampapa 5 Mike O'Neil 5

Congratulations to Hank Drapalski the Pagan Overlord (Top Pagan Player) and Martin Schmidt the Hochmeister of the Order (Top Crusader Player)! Thanks to all of the participants.

Battle Scenario Results

Scenario Battle   Pagan Points Crusader Points
Scenario 1 Siauliai 92 79
Scenario 2 Prussia 55 122
Scenario 3 Leignitz 140 53
Scenario 4 Peipus 103 95

We had very interesting battle results this time with two scenarios being very closely fought and two scenarios dominated by one side or the other. Despite the narrow Pagan victory at Lake Peipus, it should be noted that Alexander Nevski was killed in battle 25% of the time.

If interested, please see the Baltic Crusades at Fall In! 2005 - a battle report for the first time these scenarios were played.
