The Hittite Empire (DBA I/24b) are my second BB-DBA-Army. All elements are named and arranged for a Battle of Kadesh Scenario as a foe for my BBDBA New Kingdom Egyptians. Figures are 1/72 Plastics (Caesar/Taiwan, with a few exceptions). The Army has a single 2Ps or 7Hd option - so this triple Army list reads as follows: 9xHCh, 3xLCh, 18x3Sp, 3-6x2Ps, 0-3x7Hd.  The Spear are based as 4Sp on 3Sp bases, for a better visual aspect.

It's a pure 3x Hittite Empire Army. The Hittite Empire was more federally organized than the other Empires of the Ancient Middle east. At Kadesh the Army included contingents from 18 Allied and Vassal States. The many allies and vassals present are considered to be part of the Hittite Army list - hence no Allied commands. The following list shows the contingents and their strength in my BBDBA adaptation:

THE CHARIOT FORCE

The main striking force of the Army. At Kadesh they ambushed and smashed
the Egypt Ra Division and attacked the Pharaoh´s Camp. Unfortunately -
by doing so, they lost cohesion and were checked by Ramses’ counterattack.

KADESH KORTRESS (BUA)

After the battle Kadesh stayed firmly within the Hittite Empire. A proof, that Kadesh could not have been the "Great Victory" the Egyptians chroniclers would let us believe. (1/72-Hobbyists will know this model: Airfix`s "Fort Sahara").
