DBA II/49
This is my Marian Roman Army. I got these as a
Warmaster Ancients army pack of 10mm Chariot figures (from Magister
Militum), with a few added extras (the scutarii) and loads left
over! They're based on 15mm scale bases for DBA. The cavalry are on
20mm deep bases to allow them to be used for Warmaster; for DBA they
are attached to magnetized sabot base extensions to give the correct
30mm depth. Troops per base are as per Phil Barker's suggestions for
10mm figures in DBMM. They had their first outing recently when my
son used them to beat my (as yet unphotographed) Gallic/Ancient
Brits, and - much like Paul Murgatroyd's 6mm armies - lots of
comments from passing members of the games club that smaller figures
give a very nice "mass effect" appearance on a 24" DBA board.
