Mike Johnson's
ESTONIANS (IV/27)
1200-1227 AD
This is my Estonian army done in wonderful Gladiator (Black Hat)
minis.
It represents any pagan tribes from the Eastern Baltic such as
Finns, Ests, Balts, etc. The army on paper looks quite
bland -- a Warband General with nine Warband and two Psiloi --
so I decided to liven up the army a little bit by adding some
interesting elements, particularly the generals element.
As you can see, I added an unfortunate Teutonic horse and some
accoutrements of its former master, now clearly in the
possession of the Finno-Estonian general, who to me clearly
looks like the "nothing says obey me like a bloddy head on a
pole" type. Oh and for the HATERS out there this is a 4Wb
General! As always the amazing pictures are by my dad
Laurence Johnson.

The Estonian King and Retainers (4Wb/Gen)

Estonian Warriors (3Wb)

Archers (2Ps)

Burial Mound (Camp)
The Camp is the "Burial Mound" piece from JR
Miniatures that I textured and painted.
The figure on the door is based on actual lithic art from Finland
and is used
by the Folk Metal band Korpiklaani as their emblem!
