Here are some images of
my new Hussite army. The figures are all Essex - I did a few
conversions particularly among the blades and then they were
painted by my good friend, Peter Callan.
Most challenging was recreating the image
of Jan Zizka - I wanted the figure to look as much like the
Angus McBride painting (cover of Osprey's 'The Hussite Wars')
as possible. It involved
substituting a different head, green-stuffing
(is that a verb ?) a bandage over his blind eye, removing a
spear and scratch-building his mace. I think it turned out well.
The War Wagons are from an Australian
manufacturer "Evil Gong' miniatures - 40mm exactly across, brilliant
!! The 12 elements comprise 1 x 3Kn
(Gen), 1 x 2LH, 5 x WWg, 4 x 4Bd and 1 x Art.
