This is my Carolingian army. Most of the figures are old Minifigs that I picked up cheaply.

The King and his Paladins (3Kn/Gen)

Charlemagne, Roland and Oliver.

Milites (3Kn)

Scouts (2Lh)

These Essex figures represent
Charlemagne's scouting forces.

The Spearwall (4Sp)

These represent the solid foot of the army.

Skirmishers (2Ps)

According to the WRG's "Armies of the Dark Ages, Charlemagne's skirmishing
forces were a mixture of staff slingers and archers.

The Great Unwashed (7Hd)

This element is made up of figures from Essex (kneeling archer),
Corvus Belli (guys with pitchforks and the hound) and Minifigs (the remainder).
