Chris Brantley's
Moldavians
IV/65 (1359-1504 AD)
This represents the army of Moldavia from the arrival of the Viovode Bogdan in 1359 AD until the death of Stephen the Great in 1504 AD. It was comprised of an Essex 15mm Moldavian army pack supplemented with figures from the spares box for variety. Painted (with conversions) by David Kuijt, who used WRG's Armies of the Middle Ages, Vol. 1 as a primary guide. To give the army a more authentic Moldavian look, David gave the figures
long hair and created this
banner for the command stand. The mountain-top stronghold in the background is an aquarium accessory picked up at a local pet store.
