Andrew McLaren's
SEA PEOPLES
(DBA I/28)
& PHILISTINES (DBA I/29)

Armies of the Fanatici > Eye Candy > DBA Resources > Fanaticus

We wargamers are sometimes in the peculiar position of fielding armies we don't really believe in. Many of the "Chariot Age" armies are pretty much fantasy. These two fall squarely into the fantasy category. However, we are wargamers, and we have lists. And manufacturers have armies to make and sell. So enough said. These are my morphable Sea Peoples (I/28) and Philistines (I/29).  The army is almost entirely Hat's bulky, squat-looking 1/72nd Sea Peoples army pack.

Commander (LCh/Gen)

The chariot is an Atlantic Roman (chassis flipped and with pole reconfigured). the teams with a wire yoke, with card chariot body and javelin cases.

Sea People Commander on Foot (Bd/Gen)

Sea People Warriors (4Bd/3Bd)

[Close-Up][Close-Up]

Philistine Warriors (3Bd)

[Close-Up]

In the I/28 Sea Peoples morph I use principally Sea Peoples Blades (2x4Bd,  6x3Bd); In I/29(a) Philistines I use the Philistine 6x3Blades.

Light Foot 3Ax) and Archers (2Ps)

There aren't quite enough Ax and Ps to field either 3 Ax or 3Ps for I/28, but I generally want one or two Ps supporting Bd, and one or two Ax contesting the rough and supporting LCh. The Psiloi are Atlantic Trojans with new head-gear.
